Amnesty International Finnish Section is seeking a full-time intern to support our activism and education team in work related to demonstrations.

The responsibilities of the intern will include:
- Coordinating and reporting on demonstration observation activities
- Supporting the coordination of a network of volunteer demonstration observers
- Assisting in the planning and organising of demonstrations
- Updating training materials related to freedom of assembly
Intern will also contribute to other tasks within the activism and education team as needed.
This is a six (6) month internship, with a preferred start date no later than April 2026. Only full-time undergraduate students are eligible for the position.
What do we expect from you?
We expect you to have:
- Undergraduate studies at a university or university of applied sciences
- Knowledge of civil society dynamics, social movements, and various forms of civic activism.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
Beneficial assets:
- Experience in NGOs or civic movements or volunteer work
- Experience in organising demonstrations
- Knowledge of human rights work and the international human rights system
- Understanding or experience with anti-racist and intersectional practices

Working Arrangements
The internship is based at Amnesty’s office in Helsinki, also partial remote work is possible. Evening and weekend work, as well as travel within Finland, is required.
Compensation
The internship salary is € 1,739 per month.
